Alrite. I just got back from watching Da Vinci's Code and here I am, writing one more of my 'off-track' movie review (ill try to be 'on-track' this time.) So here it goes..The movie started out quite well, similar to that described in the book-the old man running while Longdon giving a speech to the public. After that unfortunately, it was a little bit confusing since everything was revealed at the same ti
me, with lots of flash backs, and introduction of characters. The director tried featuring every single detail that was written in the book but has edited it to squeeze into 3hrs of the screening time, hence making it complicated for viewers who haven't read the book (and giving headache to those who have). Furthermore, some important clues and codes weren't that understandable; leading to a big question mark on audiences (even I had to reread them few times when I was reading the book to recognize it.) On the o
ther hand, besides these, the movie was set out smoothly, although it was slightly draggy at times. My favorite part was the ending of the movie. It was so beautifully set and it was obvious to all viewers on what was taking place. Each sentence of the poems were narrated one by one, until finally the truth was revealed.. (And I love those glass pyramids~entrance to Louvre museum!!)My suggestion to those who haven't read the book, please do so before watching the movie or your 12 bucks are going into the drain. And to those who have doubt to watch the movie-do it. Don't believe the critics. After all, the critics might not have read the book, so they don
't know shit on what was happening. I wouldn't say it was the best adaptation movie I've seen (I prefer Harry Potter), but ya, the director did a good job with the background and surroundings. U guys go ahead and watch it for yourself..
